How to Fall Asleep Fast

A lot of times it's really hard to fall asleep. I have problems with it all the time. In this post I am going to give you some tips on how to fall asleep faster.

Make it cold.

It has been proven that is you are cold you sleep better. You can easily do this by turning on a fan. Then you can get under your covers and be warm and cozy.

wind, fan

Clear your mind and just don't think of anything.

Some people say "count sheep" or something like that but that just doesn't work for me. I have to just clear my mind and almost will it to sleep.

Read in bed.

Just get coisy and then read. Preferably get a boring book. Your brain and eyes will get tired.

Try not to move.

I get that you will want to toss and turn but you need to resist that temptation and just lay still. Moving keeps your mind awake.

Don't use glowing machines before bed. Turn them off 30 minutes before you go to bed.

Like ipads or phones or computers. It can one hurt your eyes and make them wide awake and definitely not sleepy.

hands, coffee, smartphone

Drink a warm drink.

This both tastes good (hopefully) and is soothing for your body. I recommend either tea with no caffeine or some heated up milk.

Don't eat right before bed.

You want all of your food digested before bed. If you are hungry close to the time when you go to bed eat something very light like fruit.

Like some nice cherry tomatoes.

Get a good pillow.

You need your head to be comfy and levitated of the bed. So you need a good pillow so that your neck won't get cramps.

Stop looking at the clock!

You want your mind to be slowly turning down not thinking about the time! This will stress you out.

Try not to take naps during the day.

You want to sleep more at night than during the day. If you sleep during the day you will not be tired at night.

Take a warm shower or bath before bed.

This calms down your body and feels good.

Make sure to sleep in complete darkness.

Light keeps your eyes awake and darkness does the opposite.

Do some meditation and breathing exercises.

Breath in and out. My mom taught me to inhale for 4 seconds, hold my breath for 7 seconds, and then exhale for 8 seconds. This calms your body down and seriously really helps.

Sleep on your right side and not your left.

It has been proven that sleeping on your right side helps you sleep better.

Do some stretches before bed.

This makes you more relaxed and tired. It also helps to untighten your muscles after a long day.

Listen to relaxing and slow music.

This really helps your brain slowly fall asleep. There are a lot of playlists on youtube with stuff like this. Just remember to not listen to really loud or fast music before you go to bed because that keeps you up.

Make your room smell good.

What I mean by this is that you can get some scents and sprays to make your room smell floral that relaxes your body. My sister actually made one for me and I always spray it around my room.

Here's a little infographic to sum it up.

I would love if you could share and pin my posts. It makes me so happy when you do and helps me grow my blog.

Do you like this post? Should I make more infographics? Do you have trouble sleeping? What are some of your tips? Do you sleep well?  What kind of pillow do you have? What kind of bed do you have? Should I do more posts like this?

Interview with Izzy from Lost In my Own World

Hey everyone! I am so so excited today because I have an interview with the wonderful Izzy. I have actually interviewed her once before here when she was known as kelsi. And today she is with us again. Everyone please welcome Izzy to the stage! *Unseen audience claps*

*note I am feeling very show hosty right now so that is how I am going to do this interview

Nabila: So Izzy.  Would you rather stay in a hotel or go camping?

Izzy: Hotel, with camp you have all those bugs and ehh.

Nabila: Oh my gosh yes! I do not like bugs crawling over me. What are your favroite activities?

Izzy: Blogging, writing, photography, and listening to music.

Nabila: Wow! We are so similar. That is probably what I would have answered.  What is one thing most people don't know about you?

Izzy: I have a very powerful singing voice. Me and my friend Grace do mini performances where I sing along to whatever she is playing on her guitar.

Nabila: That is so cool! I love to sing as well. :) What is your favroite book?

Izzy: THAT'S LIKE CHOOSING MY FAVORITE BAND OR SONG! But fine, it has to be The Scorch Trials by James Dashner.

Nabila: Yeah favroite book is hard.  Would you rather go back in  time 100 years or forwards a 100 years?

Izzy: Either way I wouldn't be alive but forwards.

Nabila: Well I mean you would stay alive. It would be like time traveling.  What is your favroite type of food?

Izzy: I don't know why but Mexican food is my life (because tacos and tacos are life).

Nabila: I love mexican food too! It is one of my favorites. How old are you?

Izzy: 11, I'll be 12 in November.

Nabila: Cool! So we are the same age. What is your dream job?

Izzy: I want to be in band with my friends Grace, Taylor, Wesley, and Adrean but that proably won't get us far.  So I will proably be a Youtuber (I already have a name and all planned out).

Nabila: It would be so awesome if you were a youtuber! I would totally watch your videos. :) So, what is your blog's name?

Nabila: Cool! So, what is the meaning behind your blog name?

Izzy: I'm always lost in my own tiny world of song lyrics, photography, and youtube, so I based my blog title off of that.

Nabila: Wow. That is deep.  What is your favroite movie?

Izzy: Urm... Probably Pierce The Veil: This is a Wasteland (I love Pierce The Veil so much,  Vic Fuentes is my heart and soul).

Nabila: I see you feel very strongly about that. What is your favroite season?

Izzy: Fall, I mean I'm a fall baby so yeah.

Nabila: I'm a fall baby too. :) What do you love most about blogging?

Izzy: I love how I can speak whatever is on my mind  and all of my supportive internet friends.

Nabila: Go internet friends (they are amazing)! If you could have any pet (magical, dead, alive, anything), what would it be?

Izzy: And alpace so that it could help me prepare for the ..... ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE.  It's name would be Dave. I used to have a pet pineapple named Joe though, but he was eaten.

Nabila: I predict Dave would help you prepare very much. If you could talk to any one person (dead or alive) for 30 minutes, who would it be?

Izzy: VIC FUENTES. (look him up after you read this post and comment one fact about him, I dare you)

Nabila: Ok well that is all of the questions I have for you today. Bye Izzy and thanks for answering these questions for me!

---------

So make sure to go check out Izzy's blog here, drop a comment or 2, and follow. You can also check out her Google+ account here. Bye!

So how did you like this interview? Should I do more interviews? Do you want to be interviewed? If you do I totally recommend going here.

How to make an amazing about page for your blog

You might not have known this but about pages are super super important. They are usually aside from home the most looked at page on your blog. If someone wants to know more about the blog that is where they go. That is why you have to have an awesome about page. In this post I will show you how to do that step by step.

Before we get started though I want you to think about these questions and answer them.

What is your blog about?
Why would your readers like it?
Who is it aimed for?

Some about your site

1. Ask a question. Like do you want to _? Or are you ready to_? In the blank you would put what your readers will get out of your posts. Like if you have a fashion blog you could put get fashion inspiration or if you have a blogging blog you could put become an amazing blogger. Stuff like that.

2. "Yes? Then you are in the right place." Or at least put something like that after the question. Your readers wants to know if your blog is right for them and you have to show them that it is.

3. Add a picture. Like a picture of yourself or a your desk. You want pictures that describe you scattered all around your about page.

camera, picture, photo, photography, hands, mobile, smartphone, mural, wall, art, city, urban

4. Tell your readers who the site is for. You can say this site is for _, _, and _. You should list at least 3 types of people your site is for. Like if it is a cooking blog you could say chefs or if it is a fashion blog you could put fashionistas or fashion lovers.

5. "Pretty much this site was created for people like you!" Again you want to tell your readers that your blog is perfect for them.

6. "You will find _, _, and _." Pretty much list what kind of posts you will be doing.

7. Where should they start? If you have an awesome series or a couple posts that you are amazingly proud of then list them! This shows new readers where to start and gives them a little taste of your blog.

8. Why should readers even listen to you? Does your site have credibility? Has your blog been featured by any other sites? List them! Or you could say that you are still learning.

9. List your social media accounts. You want all of your readers to follow you so you should list your accounts. You can say something like "if you want to find out more about me and my blog you can go to *inserts all social media accounts*".

10. Share how your site got started. Your readers want to hear a story so tell it to them! Share exactly how to you thought of having a blog and how you started. Share how you got the passion for what your blog is about. When did you start? All of it.

Now you can write some about you!

Wooooh!! The moment you have all been waiting for. The moment you actually get to write about you on your about page. Here are some stuff you can/should include.

1. A picture of you. I know a lot of times if you are a younger blogger (with I actually did a post about here) sometimes you are not allowed to show your face but you should still show yourself (or some of yourself).

That is a picture of me from this post.

2. You name.

3. Where you live. Of course not the exact place but the country and maybe state.

4. Your hobbies (like blogging or swimming).

5. Things you like (like bands or books).

6. You social media links again.

But remember:

The about page is not all about you

It's not! Or at least it shouldn't be. Your readers came to the page to learn about your blog and what they can get out of it. Not 20 random facts about you. Remember this.

Show personality and kindness

On your about page you want to show what you're all about. If you want to be known for being funny then make people laugh!

the simpsons funny bart simpson lisa simpson laughing

Write like you speak

Don't right with super big words that you wouldn't normally talk with. Your readers want to hear you! Not a robot.

Do you like this post? Whe was the last time you updated your about page? Are you planning on redoing it? Should I do more page related posts? Did you know that your about page is super important?
