staying in a airbnb mansion + an eco friendly hotel in mexico

This the second post in my Mexico series! In my first post I talk about getting to stay in an adorable small town and see ancient Mayan ruins and cenotes and so much more! It was a lot of fun and I would recommend checking that post out first. In today's post we meet up with the rest of my family and stay in both a super cool hotel and a pretty Airbnb. Let's get started. :)

I also did a vlog which you can find above or right here.

After the two hour bus ride from Valladolid (the other town we were staying in), we arrived in Cancun.

We were the first people to arrive at the hotel! It's called El Rey Del Caribe and it's an eco-friendly hotel which I learned meant reusing water and do other stuff along those lines. It was basically a jungle and definitely one of the cutest hotels everrrrr. Since it was so pretty I thought it would be good to do a little photo shoot. The pics turned out really well (thanks dad)!!

A bit later the rest of my family arrived including my adorable cousin Mya!! Her actual name is Samya named after my Tata but we all call her Mya. :) She's my first first cousin and I was so so so excited to meet her. She's pretty much the cutest thing ever.

In the morning everyone met up and we took a group pic. We were all there for a wedding and it kind of turned into a family reunion haha.

SHE'S SO CUTE AHHHHHH

We had a couple of hours before we could check into the Airbnb so we decided to walk around a bit. We had heard of a market near where we were staying so we decided to check it out. It turned out to be a total tourist trap and way too expensive but it was good we walked around haha.

And then it was time! The house was awesome and there was this gorgeous pool in the backyard! We pretty much just swam for the rest of the day.

The next day we decided to check out a breakfast place nearby. It was pretty good but it was expensive and my dad and grandparents couldn't go so I just ended up getting a mango smoothie.

I wanted to have a photo shoot the next day so since we didn't really have that much to do we took some practice pics.

It was mostly a relaxing couple of days so I spent a lot of it reading.

We had our photo shoot and I absolutely loved how the photos turned out especially the last one.

There was a Tamale place we could walk to so of course I couldn't pass that up.

The last day we went to this absolutely adorable churro place and I got a churro ice cream sandwich. It was pretty much the best thing ever.

And that's it! Make sure to check out the other blog post, the other vlog, and the vlog for when we stayed here. Annnnd get excited for the blog post + video all about the resort and wedding! :)

10 Super Cute Spring Photo Shoot Ideas You Need To Try

I'm pretty sure in all places now it officially feels like spring! Where I live we usually skip spring and go straight onto summer after winter, but the weather gods are being nice this year. That's why I thought it would be a perfect time to show y'all some cute spring photo shoot ideas! I've been wanting to get more creative with my photos on my Instagram so I was researching this myself the other day. I found some of the cutest ideas that I just had to share. If you want some cute and easy photo ideas you can try right now you're in the right place. :)

*almost of these photos are from pinterest and I don't own them. If you are the owner and want me to take them down/give credit please email me at nabilaeve@gmail.com

Ok now let's get started!

1. Holding Flowers

Flowers are the best prop! They make any lame photo instantly cuter. Plus if you're holding something it's so much easy to take a pic. It's less awkward especially if you aren't that experienced in being a model because you actually have somewhere to put your hands.

2. Flowers in Hair

Mentioning flowers again just because they pretty much represent spring! Putting flowers in your hair is super easy and it easily gives you that extra little almost editorial touch. Plus it's really fun!

Bubbles

Bubbles are so fun to play with and take the cutest pics. Plus there are two ways to do it! Number one you (or whoever is the subject) could actually be blowing the bubbles. Have fun with it and smile! Number two you could just have the bubbles in front of you. This gives the photo a cute magical playful vibe.

Empty Field

Shout out to my girl Olivia for letting me use her pic. :)

Even if you live in a big city (like me) I'm sure you can find an empty field (an empty lot works too!!). They're really fun to take photos in because there is so much room. You can do whatever you want. Plus depending on where you are you could make it look like you're in an abandoned place or in the middle of nowhere.

Diner

Diner pics are perfect for the spring/summer time! If there is a cute restaurant/cafe near you, then usssse it! There are so many cute photo opportunities.

Bright Colors

I'm almost certain every city has some kind of bright mural wall! Look it up online! Bright colors make the absolute best pictures (and totally feel like spring). Maybe bring some props and have fun. :)

Umbrella

I took some super cute pictures with leaves and an umbrella during the fall so I'm for spring you can substitute it with petals and it would be just as cute!! What was did was we filled up the umbrella with the leaves and put it over our heads and snapped a dozen pics as they fell.

Tennis Court

I have been wanting to take pics at a tennis court for the longest time! I have seen so many shoots with that location and they all look adorable. I would recommend before going to shoot looking up "tennis court photo shoot" so that you have pose ideas and know what kind of photos you want to capture.

Tree

If trees are in bloom around you, then take ADVANTAGE! You can climb it, you can stand in front of it, you can put your head in the branches. Flowers make an absolutely gorgeous background.

Flower Crown

The flower crown phase may kind of be over but I don't think flower crowns are ever going away. I absolutely love them and I think if you capture them in a certain way it can make you look like some kind of spring flower princess which is of course what we all aspire to be. :)

Should I do more photo idea posts? What is your favorite season? What season is it where you are?

Photo Diary // Cirque La Vie + Things To Do In Houston

I have not done a photo diary in so long guys. It has seemed like forever. If you are new to my blog in my photo diary posts I basically just put a bunch of photos of a place I went to/anything I did. I like doing them and I think you guys like them too. Maybe. I don't know. So a couple days ago my family and I went to Discovery Green which is an urban park downtown (it is so cool) and we saw this circus thing. It wasn't an actual circus but there were acrobats and contortionists (which is like bending in weird ways) and a bunch of stuff like that. It wasn't professional but it still looked so cool. I think the company that put it on has a school who offers classes to teens and adults. They are doing it every Friday this month so if you live in Houston you should totally go!

Before it started the artists we walking around and getting people to come up and dance and one of them chose me and it was kind of embarrassing cause I can't dance but it was fun.

I told you it was cool.

They are literally off the ground holding themselves up with one leg and they are also doing the same thing as each other. Like what.

I definitely cannot do that. I have trouble doing normal stretches.

And think the called the rope part "the web" or something like that. I'm not sure. But the person liked climbed up and did cool tricks and only used one hand and spun and it was extremely impressive.

But what makes it even cooler to me is that they also had to dance and perform and act (facial expressions and that kind of thing) while doing these amazing things. Plus they probably have actual jobs or some of them almost looked like they were still in school.

It lasted about an hour and they took pictures with people afterward.

So I got a picture. Kind of.

Another super cool thing about it is that it was right in front of a convention center and it was basically on a street (that was, of course, blocked off).

The pink lights are amazing.

I saw this heart as we were walking back so even though I wasn't wearing something that flattering I still asked my parents if they could take a picture of me.

And that is it for now! If you liked this post and want more photo diary type posts them comment down below. I would also love to know if you have ever seen anything like this or have been to an actual circus.
