7 Easy Birthday Party Ideas For Teens

As I've grown older it's been harder and harder for me to decide what to do for my birthday. Everything I think of or find online seems too kiddish or just extravagant that I can't do. That's why I'm making this list! This is going to be 7 easy birthday party ideas that you can throw for cheap (lots of them at home!!). Hope this is helpful to some of y'all who can't decide what to do. :)
1. Karaoke

So so soo fun and sooooo easy!! I did a karaoke party in 6th grade and had a lotttt of fun. Basically, all you need is a microphone. How we did it is one of our friends had this whole speaker set up which connected to a microphone and we played the karaoke videos with lyrics and everything from youtube just on the TV.

2. Mall

This is definitely one that is done a lot but it's still always fun. You can invite a couple of friends and just hang. Maybe get some ice cream/something sweet somewhere, maybe go ice skating, and definitely just shop and laugh with all of the freindsssssss.

3. Photo Scavenger Hunt

I did this one this year (14 birthday!!) and had sooo much fun! It's actually usually done at a mall but since I don't live super close to a mall we did it at a shopping plaza. Basically what you do is you make a list of items that they can take photos of. Maybe 4 hats and some chocolate. It totally depends where you are. I recommend splitting up people in groups of 3 and then you can give them the list of photos they need to take. They need to take photos of all of those items with a group member in the photo. Whoever gets back to the starting point with all of the correct photos first wins! What I did is we did three different stores with specific photo prompts for each and the group that won the most sections won the game!

4. Pool Party

If you have access to a pool and haven't had a pool party yet, um what??? Pool parties are easy and always fun. Have some floats and drinks maybe some pizza and candy and you're set. Pool games are also always fun! You can add a bit of competition in there and have prizes and everything (extra points if the prizes are pool related like water guns or extra floaties!).

5. Spa

I've always thought of this one as so hard but it's actually not! You can do pretty much whatever you want with it and you probs already have a lot of stuff. Plus the parent or adult person doesn't even really have to do that much. Everyone can do everyone else's nails and stuff. A fun group thing.
Ideas:

-sheet/clay/mud masks (cucumbers!!)
-hair
-nails
-maybe makeup??
-nail polish/makeup/masks/general stuff party favors!
-do DIY of maybe a lip scrub or even a make your own mask

6. Movie

Two optionsssssss. You can either go to the movies (this is a bit expensive but still fun) or just watch a movie at home! There are so many movies you can get on Netflix or from the library that everyone will love to watch. Popcorn, of course, must be included! You could even change it up a bit and instead binge a tv show you and all of your friends love. Maybe even have food and stuff based off of the show?

7. Escape The Room

For this one, you do have to go somewhere and pay for it but seriously it is so crazy fun!! If you have never done an escape the room you are missing out big time! Basically, you are put in a room and you have to work together to solve all of the puzzles and get out. For this, the guest count might have to be a bit low.

I super duper hope that was helpful to y'all! Comment down below something you like to do for your birthday/fun birthday parties you have been to in the past. :)

My Most Popular And My Favorite Blog Posts of 2018

I like posts like this especially from bloggers I found recently so that I can catch up on their old posts and also see from a bloggers perspective which posts are there favorite. It's really interesting at least to me haha. I think a lot of time people surprise you. In this post, I'm going to be sharing my most popular and also my favorite posts from 2018!
Most Popular:

My annual art car parade post which of course includes lots of art and cool cars and crazy people. People always seem to love my random posts with lots of photos and I'm just like lol why.

Some of my fave teen bloggers! This post did surprisingly well, especially on Pinterest. I might have to do a part two. :)

As you can tell from the title I shared a bunch of insta accounts I was loving! Basically what I am learning from this post is that y'all like suggestions! Maybe I'll do youtube or something next haha.

This was my post after parkland and I basically just poured out my heart and thoughts and mind. It was kind of emotional and I think it made people think. The comments were really good.

Lots of sites that I use and love that will send you free stuff with or without a big following online! This post would have been really helpful to me in the past and I hope it is to other people.

Aww yes, my birthday wishlist. Pretty much me listing about a thousand products I wanted while saying cute I think at least 12 times. It was a fun post.

One of my more helpful posts if I do say so myself. I list 11 super easy ways to make money solely online even as a younger person!

That post was actually a collab with the wonderful Anika and I think it's the only collab on this list.

This post was basically everything I had learned in the past two years put into a post and I remember it making me really happy when I wrote it. It's basically all of my tips to just be happier. Some of them are duh but I hope others really make you think. :)

I've done a summer bucket list for the past three years (you can look at 2017 and 2016 if you want) and I actually really like doing them. I don't do goals by month but with summer there is so much free time so I think it's good to have a bucket list set out beforehand.

I have always been shy about the music I liked because I honestly didn't really like anyone?? I had a Taylor Swift phase but once she disappeared for that 3 years I didn't have a favorite and I just listened to general pop. Recently though I've found some new musicians I love so so so much and this post is me sharing that with you!! If you like Dodie or Conan Gray or Bea Miller you will like the songs on that list. :)

My Favorite:

I'm going to do the favorites by month. :)

2019 Goals

If you missed my last two posts you might not have heard that I said I was going to be sharing with y'all some of my 2019 goals! I think it's nice to set goals for yourself so that you know what you want to accomplish. :)

*side note there are like 3 different types of photos in this post but it's cool we're accepting in this household

-Post at least once a month on Youtube + get to 150 subscribers

Especially with starting high school I'm not sure how active I can be on youtube but I still want to try. Plus because I don't know how much I'm going to be posting I don't expect to grow that much. I currently have 120 subscribers so 150 is only gaining 30 which I think I reasonable.

-2,500 Instagram Followers

I haven't been growing much on insta lately??? But I really really want to?? I've had insta for a little more than a year and I have 1,500 so I think another 1k in a year is manageable??

-Post on my blog at least once a week

I think I've talked about this before but with high school, I'm really scared I'm going to be a lot less active on here but I don't want to be and ahhhhh. I am going to post at least once a week though hopefully.

-Think about the gifts I give people

I've realized I actually really enjoy giving people gifts but a lot of times I put it off till the last minute, especially for birthdays. I want to stop doing that.

-Figure out Pinterest

I have read soooooo many times and have been told sooooo many times by other bloggers that Pinterest is one of there main traffic sources. It's not that for me and I want to figure out why and what I can do to change it. Basically, I need to put some time into it. I would appreciate suggestions!!

-Do something to my hair

Just some kind of change. Maybe cut it a bit shorter or dye it a different color or maybe even just straighten it for once. I've been having the urge to change up my hair for a while.

-Decorate my room and appreciate it and all of the new house things

Sometime this year we're going to be moving into our new house!!! I'm going to have my own room and it's actually going to be new (which I've never had before) so I get to pick everything out and basically I just want to do a good job.

-Have a good start to high school and join things

I've mentioned high school so many times in this post but I'm scared y'allllll. Like. It's a lot. You guys are probably rolling your eyes at me like wow Nabila I'm in college shut up but like ahhhhhhhh. I want to make an effort to join things and try all of the things. And also make some new friends!!

-Take around a water bottle with me everywhere

I have decided water bottles are the key to drinking a lot of water. They are basically magic. Soooooo I want to get a cute one that I actually like and try bringing it with me more places! One place I definitely need to bring a water bottle to is school, but I never have because I don't want to carry it lol.

-Use a calendar

I've always loved calendars and the thought of being organized but I never have really done it??? Which is super bad?? Going to high school and also being a blogger + youtuber I need to get my calendar game up. A lot of people have content calendars which I've also never done. I want to start scheduling everything.

-Think about + learn about starting a photography business

I've been wanting to do this for the longest time! It would just be so cool. One thing holding be back is because I don't have a legit camera except for my phone and I thought people wouldn't take me seriously. This is probably actually true so I should probably also work on getting a legit camera.

-Figure out another income for myself/think about jobs + general money things

I've been making some money online (you can find out how to do that yourself here) and I want to work on that more and find new ways. Maybe something along the lines of an online course?? Or maybe a coach?? Or I would love to sell graphics?? I also want to reach out to more people about babysitting and just explore all of the money job optionsssss. Also bank account?? That's a thing?? Look at that maybe??

-Read 40 books

I only read 38 books this year and it one hundred percent killed me. My reading has been down sooooooooooo down and if I don't read at least 40 books this year I will be kind of mad at myself so I'm putting it as a goal.

-Travel somewhere new

Traveling is something that makes me so so so so happy and traveling and exploring a new place makes me even happier. :) Plus I'm pretty sure I'm going to be able to complete this goal this summer (stay tuned for updates!!).

-Keep writing letters to people

I've been writing lots of letters to people and just doing general pen pal/snail mail things lately and it has made me soooo happy. I want to continue that in the new year.

-Have an A/B average in all classes + survive finals

My goal is to usually have an A average in all classes but with algebra and high school, I've decided no haha. I had midterms lately and I got kind of low B's for both of my high school credit classes and it's very not good (side note this is kind of bad for me personally but I know they are actually good grades and that could be so great for other people don't come at me). I need to study extra super duper hard for finals.

That's all for now! You can find two of my other goal posts here and here.

I would love to read some of your new years resolutions/goals. Comment them down below!

If you want, you can go read that one first to see what has changed and everything. Before we start I just realized it's Coptic Christmas when I will be posting this?? That's pretty cool?? I'm not Coptic but my grandparents are so they will be celebrating. Merry Coptic Christmas if you celebrattttttte. Ok now onto the goals. :)

Yep! Of course not always but in general I would say I was pretty content last year.

-Join another club
Yep yep yep! National Junior Honor Society and Karate.

-Start enjoying exercise and walking more
Yeah no. :( I need to find some kind of exercise I like doing or someone to do it with maybe. I have been healthier though! I was a lot more conscious of my food.

-Grow my blog and start working with more people
I haven't grown my blog that much but I have been growing my other channels. And I have definitellllllly been working with more people.

-Travel somewhere new
New Orleans! It was really fun. :)

-Start babysitting or doing some kind of job
I've been working for my mom actually! Doing design and chart stuff for her business.

Book Blurb:

For Hailey Grace, birthdays suck! She hopes with all her heart that her big day passes without gifts, or

even a birthday wish. But with loving parents and two witty best friends who keep her on her toes,
there’s no telling what adventure Hailey Grace will be forced to explore this time. Unexpectedly, her
best friend Alex challenges her to do something she’s never done before. With that comes a whole new
set of rules, and another life Hailey isn’t sure she’s quite ready for. Now questioning all that she has
ever believed, she takes Alex up on the dare by asking for something that no one but God can give her.
Her request also comes with a twenty-four-hour deadline. As the minutes slowly but surely tick by,
Hailey’s life shifts into overdrive and she wonders if she has asked for too much too soon.

Now for the guest postttttttttt
Thank you for having me on your blog today! I am so excited to be featured and I am honored that you
have taken the time to share my heart with your readers. I must say it is rather liberating to be able to
discuss a topic of my choice. So, I’ve decided to share with you all today about an author who has and
continues to inspire me. I’m sure you have heard of Christian Fiction author Colleen Coble. Right?
Well, if you haven’t then I encourage you to pick up any one of her titles today. She has an amazing
gift for storytelling. I was personally led to read one of her books by the Holy Spirit one day. That was
truly the day I discovered a beautiful writer. A lovely suspenseful tale that kept me on the edge of my
seat. I couldn’t stop reading. Throughout every novel she writes, I find myself praying for her and even
her characters! I must say that’s when you know you’ve written a good book.
I wanted to take a moment to honor Colleen Coble because her literary works inspired me while on my
own writing journey. God blessed her and many other authors to write life-changing fiction, and
through their stories, my hope is rekindled. My faith soared. My passion for Jesus burned. That fire is
still igniting, and I am grateful for this genre. I believe stories are a very powerful weapon that is useful
for ministry. The gift of stories has sustained the oppressed. Comfort the brokenhearted. Enriched the
thirst for knowledge and healed the sick. Those who were sick in their body, mind, and soul, often
found deliverance in storytelling. Whether those stories were written, read, or spoken. Words paint
pictures. They restore hope. They never cease to be a refuge in the midst of the storms. Let’s face it, we
all have that one in common. We endure storms. You wouldn’t be drinking in these words right now if
you haven’t endured a storm or two.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble.
But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33) That scripture doesn’t come with an age
requirement. But it does come with a promise. A promise of peace, because Jesus is our peace.  A
promise that we will overcome because Jesus has overcome. In that my beloved, is what Colleen Coble
books give me. Tales of faith. Promises of hope. Inspirations of love.
                                                                                                                                        Eternally,
                                                                                                                                        Beloved
