What should I pick? What should I pick? They're both awesome! // Questions to ask yourself and things to think about when picking a school

Yesterday, I got letters from middle schools saying I got into their school. And the only thing to do now is decide which one. I like both of the schools, and it's hard to choose. Here are some questions and things to think about so that I can help myself and you when you have to choose which school to attend. These questions apply to middle, elementary, and high schools (although I'm not sure about high schools because I have no experience with them).

The process you should take:

1. Tour the school (if can)
2. Apply and audition if needed (you can find some tips I did for auditioning here)
3. See where you got in
4. Research more about the school
5. Ask yourself the questions below
6. Talk with family and friends
7. Decide

And here are some questions you should ask yourself:

What are your expectations? Does the school have to have amazing physical grounds such as an amazing new building? Amazing people? Or can it just be plain or old? You have to set expectations for yourself or else you won't get anywhere.

Which magnet program sounds more fun? For me, the two magnets for the two schools (let's call them Birdy and Chickadee) are language (Chickadee) and fine arts (Birdy). To me, fine arts sound much better, or at least a lot more fun. So Birdy wins this round.

But then which magnet sounds more useful? I hate to admit it, but language is more useful in the long run since I don't actually want to be any kind of artist when I grow up. So Chickadee wins this one.

Which one has a better building and grounds? Chickadee has much better grounds and building. Everything is new and there are living plants, which I can't really say for Birdy. So Chickadee wins this one, too.

How far is it from you? For Chickadee, I would have to take the bus which a) I have never done before, b) I would have to wake up early, and c) the bus stop is actually right by my house.  But I could walk to Birdy. So Birdy wins another round.

Well now I have two wins for Chickadee and two wins for Birdy. Just great. Ok, now let's go onto what the school is known for. You can look them up (great schools is a good school reviewing website) and see what other people think about the schools.

Is it academically strong and challenging? In a school, you always want this to be true or else how in the world are you going to learn? In my case, Chickadee is supposed to have better academics.

How are the students? You don't want a school where there are just groups and outcasts. From what I've read (yes I have researched my schools; I'm weird like that), Chickadee is supposed to have small groups exactly like I said above, while I don't know about Birdy.

How are the teachers? That one teacher can seriously make or break the school. Chickadee is supposed to have pretty good teachers, but then a couple people said the teachers there were lazy. But Birdy's teachers are supposed to be rude sometimes.

So it's a toss-up. I don't know which way to go.

Did you like this post? What are some of your tips when picking a school? Should I do more school related things?

The Unknown Bloggers Challenge

Hey everyone! Today I have a challenge that I'm going to do. Miss  tagged me to do it. So let's get started!

Rules:
-This is a challenge,so those who are nominated are challenged to do it.
-Nominate at least 5 followers with less than 100 followers, etc

Why do you love blogging?

I just love meeting new people and being able to share my opinion with the world.

What's your favorite food?

This is too hard I can't choose! But at the moment I am craving chocolate.

Who is your favorite singer/band?

Taylor Swift.

Would you rather live one life that lives 1,000 years or 10 lives that last 100 years each?(someone told me that once and I thought it was a cool question so I thought I'd include it)

One life that lives 1,000. I choose that because living multiple lives would be hard and no one would believe you if you told them that you lived more than one life.

What's your favorite place to shop?

I don't really shop for myself weirdly. It's more my mom or grandmother. But I still get cute clothes so I don't really care.

Have you ever solved a Rubix Cube?

Absolutely not. Though I want to be good at it I am horrible with that sort of puzzle like thing.

My Questions:

Morning or nighttime person?
What is your biggest accomplishment?
What is your blogging goal for this year?
Did you celebrate easter? If so what did you do?
If you could talk to anyone alive at the moment for 30 minutes who would it be?
Who is your favorite celebrity?
What is your favorite genre of book?

I tag:

Hey people! I get today of because of good friday with is awesome. And that means in 2 days it is going to be *drum roll* easter! Exited? I am. Even if you not religious you get the day off and it's still awesome. Just think about, laying on the couch doing absolutely nothing. So here are 10 cool thing to do this weekend!

1. Go to an easter egg hunt. It can be at an actual place or just at a friends. And then....
2. Stuff your face with candy! After a long day of finding eggs you deserve some of that candy and or whatever prize you find in the egg.

3. Go to a church service. If you're not christian this doesn't apply to you but if you are I encourage you to go to church. Even if you don't regularly this is a good excuse to go.

4. Just sit back and relax. Just act as if it is a regular weekend.

5. Decorate some eggs. You can just get some hard boiled eggs and decorate them! There are a lot of kits you can buy and I might do a little tutorial.

6. Get together with some friends. This is an awesome time to through a party and get together with some friends for easter.
7. Get crafty! Find some fun easter themed crafts and make them. Here are some fun ones. I would love to see some pics if you do :)

8. Cook! Personally I am not a cooker but a lot of people are. And what better excuse is there than easter to make a yummy bunny shape cookie?
9. Read the bible. Reread the easter story and really think about it.

10. Take some photographs! Of easter eggs or cute kids holding there baskets or whatever. Easter is a perfect time with it being spring and all.

#MiniReviews ~ The Neptune Project /The Neptune Challenge

Hello people! How was your spring break? Awesome? Not so awesome? So, today I have 2 mini reviews for you guys. The first and second book of the Neptune Project series.

The Neptune Project

The reason I got this book in the first place was because I had seen it around quite a bit and it was a texas bluebonnet book. Usually I quite like those books so I got it from the library and pretty much loved it. I have a list to show you.

The good:

  • The character building! I am telling it is seriously amazing.
  • Sci-fi. This is one of my favorite genres.
  • It is set in a futurist world where there is famine everywhere. And I don't know about you but I find that much more interesting than if it was set in our time period or the past.
  • Twist. Thought I knew something was going to happen, the twist that actually did happened was not the one I expected with I am putting as good for creativity.
The Bad:
  • Love triangle. There is a love triangle going on with the main character and 2 other people in the book and though I think it was explained well it went too fast in my opinion.
  • Description of the world. Ya I love futuristic worlds as I said above but they didn't give enough detail of the world. I know the little that the characters thought but pretty much nothing else.
  • Dai. He is one of the main characters in this book and he is just so annoying!

The Neptune Challenge

A little bit after I read the one above I saw this one at the library and since I had just about loved the first book, I had to get the second one.

The good:

  • The writing style of the characters thoughts. This might be one of my favorite books who have that kind of style where you can hear the characters thoughts but then also what's happening weaves in like magic or something.
  • The description of the marine animals and plants. This is set in the ocean and I love how the book describes the ocean and plant and animals there. I can almost see them.
  • The cover. This is true in both books of just how cool the covers are. The title with the dolphin and then just the graphics look really good to me.
The bad:

  • Umm Nere some really super rough things just happened to you! But you're not like ever  thinking about it! Like what?
  • Since Nere is the boss's daughter some people don't like her and truly I think the book could have upped that and made it more of a conflict.
  • Wasp is all bad? Wasp is one of the bad guys who hates Nere but it was like she was just completely all bad. With no good. At all! She is a person though so she has to at least have some feelings. But no. No feelings that doesn't say I hate Neres guts or Dai is cute.

Have you read this book? Did you like it? I have been working with book photography some. Do you think I'm any good? Should I do my reviews more in lists?

How to ignore your siblings when there being really annoying and won't stop blabbering

Like 80% of people have siblings. They can be bad and good. You might have an amzing or horrible relationship with your sibling (if you have one). But even if they love you so much and you share the same feeling there is at least one moment when you just think how annoying they are!

 Some examples:

-When will not stop asking to play.
-When there just talking and talking and talking and talking and talking and talking. Forever and ever and ever and ever.........
-When there blasting their game realy loud.
-When there asking to borrow your stuff.

Get what I mean? It can get really annoying. But today I am going to focus on when they are talking.

So to make you have less pain and a better life here are some tips to ignoring your siblings. And yes even though you probably think that I am crazy and it is impossible to ignore those crazy people and I am very serious.

Blah blah blah blah. Just imagine them saying this over and over again. Instead of you know whatever they are actually try to tell with is probably not important. unless they are trying to tell you something important like the house is one fire. In this case you're screwed.

They are not there. They do not even exist. Zip zadda nothing.

Listen to music. Turn it up real loud so you can't hear them and just listen to your favorite tunes.

Get a book. If you're not good at reading then by no means do this but if you are do it. Just get a book and read. Getting into the story until there voice is just drained out.

Go to another room and slam the door. If you do not have the amzing freedom of having your own room go to another room away from them and slam the door in there faces. Then even if they do follow you they will be less loud.

Do absolutely nothing. Just look at your sibling and do absolutely nothing. They are only doing to get something out of you so don't let them and they will eventually go away.

Do these tips help you? What are some of your tips? Do you have annoying siblings? Should I do more posts like this?

How do you sound over the internet?

A couple months ago I was at my friends house after school eating a cookie (it was a very good cookie). And then the grownups came in the room and started talking.

I was listening to them when my freinds mom said "I read your blog Nabila, it's really good!"

Of course I was delighted by this and a little confused since I had never told her about it but then I realized my mom probably had and said "Thanks!".

I thought are conversation was done so I went back to my cookie but then she said "I really like your voice".

Me knowing absolutely no idea what she was saying asked "What does that mean?".

And she answered "Like what personality you take when you type and what I hear when I read your posts".

Then she just went back to talking and I went back to my cookie but I have been thinking about this for a while now.

How do I sound over the internet? What do you think my personality is?

Making a personality

A lot of times people will make there own person on the internet. Maybe what they actually are in real life or how they wish they good act.  The next time you are doing any on the internet I want you to think about that.

-Are you being Susie sunshine and coming across as nice just to make readers like you?
-Being mean and snarky just to make people laugh?
-A know-it-all just to make yourself sound smart?
-It should be pretty unique though. Cait over at Paper Fury has an amzing writing style and i think even if she made another blog I would still know it was her.

Expressing your personality

A lot of times people have an amzing bubbling award winning personality. But does any of there readers know? No! But in my opinion you should show it. Maybe....

-Use gifs.
-Give out cake (I'm serious!).
-Write your post who you think you would normally talk about the topic not just like a robot (unless you are a robot with in that case tell your readers and they will understand and think you are amzing).

Now what is my personalty?

I have trouble with this to. What should I make my readers think I am. What do I think my readers think I am. To find out you can...

-Just plain ask (You must have awesome followers for this one but I'm sure you do).
-Act as if your blog is not your own and think how you would come across while redaing a post.
-Get some friends and family to read your blog.

P.S This was not the way I thought this post would go but I think I like it.

What do you think my personality is? What do you think yours is? Did you like this post? Do you like cake?
